Making The Play

Eight year old Avery McBride becomes introverted and withdrawn after his beloved grandfather, Daniel McBride, attempts suicide. Daniel had fallen victim to a powerful and deviously clever scam artist, who conned him out of his life savings.

With both of Avery's parents focussed on their careers, and Daniel now too traumatised to cope, Avery is packaged off to a succession of private boarding schools.

But it turns out Avery has a brilliant mind - a mind which hungrily absorbs all it can from his education. He emerges from his time at school and university as a technical genius, highly skilled in telecommunications, computers and programming.

Putting all his resources to work, Avery eventually uncovers the whereabouts of the conman and sets out for revenge. As the duel between the two brilliant protagonists unfolds, the stakes grow, and the stage is set for the ultimate showdown.

Raising The Game

The war in Ukraine has been raging longer than anyone had initially predicted. As a direct consequence, Ukraine's military drone programme has become world-class.

However, one of the main development engineers from the Ukraine research labs has disappeared, together with copies of the core software and chipsets - items that represent a vital advance in the creation of highly manoeuvrable hunter drones that could change the tide of the conflict.

The Ukrainian software also contains a module developed in the UK, one which is central to the workings of the new-style, weaponised, quadrotor drones. The hunt is on to identify what has happened to the missing engineer, and the software, before the situation spirals totally out of control.
