Section G Dossier
Spun out from MI5 in the early 1990s, Section G is a vital component within the British Security and Intelligence Services.
Sometimes referred to as "The Golfers", this nickname has nothing to do with the sport, but derives from the NATO phonetic alphabet for the letter "G".
Section G's remit? To safeguard British business interests and provide protection against major industrial espionage activities. Especially where those activities could potentially be a threat to National Security.
At the top of their list are the sectors identified within the UK's National Security and Investment (NSI) Act.
From advanced materials and robotics, computing and communications, defence and energy, through to quantum and space technologies, the Section G scope is broad and cutting edge.
And there are many from within the ranks of their opponents, who will go to any lengths to disrupt the status quo in the attempt to gain the upper hand...
